Piaggio India has commenced pre-bookings for the 2020 Vespa VXL and SXL models. Like the rest of Vespa’s line-up, the scooters will be available with two engine options – 125cc and 150cc. While prices have not been revealed, the company has confirmed that the scooters will be launched later this month. Meanwhile, a pre-booking can be made on the website for Rs 1,000.

The company has termed the 2020 iterations of the Vespa VXL and SXL as facelifts of their respective predecessors, but from the looks of it, the changes are minimal. Updates include the addition of an LED headlight, DRLs and a USB charging port. 

Mechanicals remain identical to the current SXL and VXL scooters. The SXL 125 and VXL 125 are powered by a 124.45cc, single-cylinder fuel-injected engine that produces 9.9hp and 9.6Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the SXL 150 and VXL 150 are powered by a 149.5cc,…
