Hyderabad-based electric vehicle start-up Pure EV is providing lithium batteries to healthcare tech companies that are engaged in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic across India.

  • The batteries are being called ‘Pure Lithium’

  • Pure EV says these batteries are designed to work under a wide range of environmental conditions

  • The company has a current battery manufacturing capacity of 5MWh per month

The batteries are being used in medical applications such as ventilators and automated sanitation devices, among other technology, under the brand name ‘Pure Lithium.’

The start-up is incubated by IIT-Hyderabad and is working on applications for its in-house manufactured lithium batteries. These are primarily used in green vehicles sold under the Pure EV brand.
